FB to discredit Google has failed, as the company Burson-Marsteller, which was responsible for the negative stories, confirmed the identity of his client.
FB has hired well known PR agency Burson-Marsteller to “planted” negative story about Google and its privacy policy. This plan didn’t succeed.
FB wished to remain anonymous, but the problem occurred because of Burson-Mersteller that this method of work does not match with their policies. The agency has therefore suspended the campaign against Google and confirme that the client is FB. In the press statement they was said that this offers should be rejected at the beginning.
FB also made a statement. They acknowledged the cooperation with the agency, but they insisted that they acted in the public interested.
They did not answer the question why they want to be anonymous.
